Developing Minds and Hearts for God

For this is the covenant that I will make with the houseof Israel after those days, saith the Lord;  I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: – Hebrews 8:10

Modern day scholarship comes from the philosophy of materialism or humanism.  Many today think of the human mind as nothing more than an organ of our body and that our behavior and thoughts are no more than chemical and electrical impulses.  Christian education believes that children are more.  We recognize the soul that God gave man at his creation.  Therefore, we as Christian educators want to see our students mature both academically and spiritually. We see the importance of reaching the heart as well as the mind,  which can only be done with the Lord’s help. This year’s theme and verse demonstrates the distinction between secular or government education and Christian education.

Friendship Christian school is pleased to be different and wishes for everyone to know that we desire

to develop minds and hearts for God.
